RED Production Workflow

The RED One system offers real flexibility and loads of
options when it comes to workflow - with never one simple
road to follow, or one set of tools to use! At CLAi, we understand
RED in depth.

So, as clients come to us with a wide variety of projects, each with different needs, we take time to map out the best workflow path for them from start to finish - before production begins - to maximize the potential each option offers.

Our starting point is almost always the end of the process - how and where the production will be seen. This includes everything from an analysis of the capabilities and eccentricities of the equipment to be used in post, through decisions on codecs and resolutions, working out when to move from RAW to rendered files, seeing if these need to be relinked down the line for finishing, researching special requirements for mastering and different media versions - and, of course, simple basics like camera settings.

All in all, evolving the right RED workflow is much like catching a basket of cats - tricky to handle and potentially dangerous!
